- As a designer, we are always looking for new and innovative ways to enhance our ability to provide a cohesive design for our clients. Choosing a paint color can be very challenging even for interior designers and decorators. Paint manufacturers provide small paint swatch booklets to designers and small paint swatches to the public. Yes, larger samples can be available as well, however, they are not truly accurate to the final paint color or texture because they are not produced with real paint. This leaves many designers and home owners with the hindering task of painting blank sample boards or having to paint on the wall directly with sample-sized quantities of paint. Environmentally, the waste created by surplus sample paint, which is rarely disposed of in the correct way, doesn't make sense. Hand-painted, peel-and-stick paint samples are now available and have the same effect as paint on a wall surface because they are produced with genuine manufacturer's paint. They provide the kind of accuracy and texture that could only be achieved by purchasing sample paint pots. The samples are available in 12" x 12" sizes (no other sizes are currently available). The low tack, water-based adhesive that is specifically designed for interior wall surfaces is easily removed without any damage to the wall. However, if the wall has been recently painted and not allowed the time to properly cure, damage is possible. A general rule of thumb is that if masking tape won’t damage the wall, the decal won’t either. The non-damaging adhesive backing allows for viewing in multiple locations and in different lighting without marking up your walls. All swatches are only available in eggshell finish.
